Hello! Long time between blog posts! It seems that this little (ha) renovation of ours is taking up all our time and energy these days and though I have good intentions to blog all about it, I just don’t get there. Oh well.
The renovation is going well though. I’ve been sharing the occasional progress pic on Facebook and my Instagram story, and I cannot wait to show you the finished product… once it is finally finished. The kitchen is in. The lights are up. We have been painting in every spare moment we have, trying to get as much done as possible. There is not much time for photo taking or blogging or crochet, or even cooking proper food. Lots of stir fries, eggs on toast, and stuffed potatoes for dinner around here at the moment.
Despite our busyness, we are loving the beautiful Autumn weather we have been getting lately. Lots of cold crisp mornings, that open into warm(ish) days. Perfect for painting (insert a roll of eyes here). Of course, I take my camera everywhere with me, and just occasionally I get five minutes to pause, pop out into the paddock and snap a few pictures before the day really begins. C often gets up early on a weekend and goes for a walk (while I continue to sleep in of course) and he also snaps beautiful pics of the misty hills.
The next few weeks promise to be full of things to get done. Our builder will be finishing up, and the painter will be in, giving the old bedrooms their first coat of paint in over 30 years. Carpet needs to be laid, and shelves and wardrobes need to be installed. There will be many more trips to town to pick up bits and pieces, and many more drives back and forwards between the farm house and where we are renting in the next few weeks. I will continue to bring my camera with me on the off chance that I get another five minutes to pop out and snap a pic of our beautiful landscape.
P.S. If you want to see behind the scenes snaps of the renovation, you can check out my Instagram stories or my Facebook page.
