Recently I have been using pinterest as inspiration and the actually making some of the things I pinned. I am feeling particularly smug about this because we all know the point of pinterest is to just collect ideas and show how inspired, and creative you are, and what good taste you have, not to actually do anything with the ideas (joking – sort of).
If you follow this blog at all you will know that we are currently inundated with fresh produce courtesy of our garden, and so most of my pins on pinterest are for ideas of things to make with all this produce. A few weeks back I showed you this picture of blackberry and honey yoghurt pops.

Country Boy had a go at making them, but to be honest we are not fans of honey flavour, so he just upped the sugar a little, and changed it around a little.
Ingredients
2/3 c water
3/4 c sugar
3 1/2 c blackberries (it would work well with any berries – use frozen if you don’t have fresh)
1 c vanilla yoghurt (the original recipe asked for natural but we didn’t have any)
1T fresh lemon juice
Method
1. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Slowly bring to the boil and allow to simmer for a few minutes. Turn off and allow to cool.
2. In a food processor, puree the berries, and then pass through a sieve to remove the seeds. Try to press as much of the pulp through the strainer as possible (you will need about 2 cups).
3. In a jug combine all the ingredients. Stir well and then pour into iceblock moulds.
4. Place in the freezer over night.
It makes about 12 iceblocks (depending on your mould size). Beware, small children will probably need a bath and/or a change of clothes after eating one of these, but they are delicious!
