We are home alone on the farm at the moment. Country Boy’s parents have decamped to warmer climates with their trusty campervan for a few weeks of fun and relaxation. They timed it perfectly to be away for the coldest part of the year. Fortunately though, the coldest part of the year is also the time of year where there is the least amount of work to do around the farm. Sheep still need to be fed occasionally and the crossbred lambs are being born, so we need to check on them too. Our poddy lambs from a few years back have grown up, and joined the mob again, and the girls are keen to get another one if we find an abandoned lamb.
While it is school holidays, we all jump in the truck to help feed the sheep, and open the gates for the truck. We save CB a lot of time when he doesn’t have to open every gate, drive the truck through, and then close it again. Of course I took my camera along… but you probably already guessed that I would!
