On the weekend we headed over to Collector for their pumpkin festival. It was C-O-L-D, wear two pairs of pants, cold. Even though we were freezing, we still had fun building a scarecrow, climbing on the hay bale maze, and admiring the giant pumpkins. One of our friends entered her pumpkin and came in second in the heaviest pumpkin competition with a 170kg whopper.
We also came away with a small win for our pumpkin headed scarecrow, which came first. The kids were very impressed, and are already planning on spending their winnings. I’m planning on adding “Champion Scarecrow Builder” to my resume.
A lovely drive through the country side, followed by some good country fun, and then home to watch a movie with the fire roaring. Perfect way to spend a Sunday.
That is one of the coolest scarecrows I have ever laid eyes on. Well done guys xx
Thanks….
I love the scarecrow … definitely a champion. It is kind of strange to see you so rugged up and to be sitting here in shorts and a shirt. It has cooled off but nowhere near two pants cold. Looks like fun.
It was a particularly cool day, but my goodness I can't wait for October already. I'm not a fan of cold weather…
