The garden is deep into harvest at the moment. The tomato vines are covered in their juicy treasures, and the zucchinis, and cucumbers are weighed down with vegetables.
The strawberries have been going for months. Most evenings we send the kids out to the strawberry patch after dinner. They find a few treasures to end their meals with.
Meg loves to grow sunflowers. We don’t eat them, but the chickens love them, and so do the bees.
Country Boy is up early every morning to get out in the garden before it gets warm. He brings in a tray of fresh vegetables every day.
Because the weather has been so hot we are watering every day. Thank goodness we have dripper lines onto all the gardens. It would take hours each day to water by hand.
The corn and beans are almost ready to be harvested. Soon we will be inundated.
Your photos are awesome!! I am in awe of your tomatoe production, actually all your veges, it is a battle here in Qld, heat, grasshoppers, fruit flies, oh joy!!
Looks awesome Jo, might need to come and do veggie shopping at your place 🙂
Looks awesome. Love the sunflowers. I grew some last year and the cockies loved them. Im looking for an easy sauce/relish recipe for all our cherry tomatoes coming in thick and fast right now. Happy preserving and baking to you.
If you look on my recipe pages I have a great recipe we use a lot.
