It is no secret that I am a fan of Christmas. Love the decorations, the food, the songs. Everything. Putting up the Christmas tree is a family event that the kids and I look forward to, and Country Boy accepts the inevitability of. The whole house is “Christmasafied” for the whole of December.
At the village carols, Toby learnt a new skill…
On the last Tuesday of school we had the girls presentation night for school. Both girls got an award, which made me very proud, and both were in a play. The lower division (infants) did “Wombat Divine”. Meg was the echidna and a narator. Look at the costumes! I just about died of the cuteness.
The last day of School was also Hannah’s 9th birthday. Presents in the morning, fun all day at school (finishing off with a water fight), and a friend to sleep over made the day perfect.
Worlds easiest birthday cake…
Throw into the mix a work Christmas party, a humongous assignment to keep my hospitality qualifications current, dinner with friends, meetings, as well as the usual bits and pieces like swim club and piano, and it was crazy. Good, but crazy.
It’s good to be on holidays!
What have you been up to this December? Was it crazy like mine? What do you think of my new blog header (my sister painted it!)
