+ We are back to school/work on Monday (sob). The holidays have been wonderful, and we are not ready to go back! After our trip to the mountains I came back and started sorting things. Despite moving here only 18 months ago, I couldn’t believe how much stuff we had which we just don’t need.
I went through the bathroom cabinets and sorted out everything and put them into containers. I then hit the linen cabinet. I couldn’t believe how many odd sheets and towels we had collected. I even had a white doona cover. Not sure where it came from, but I put it straight into the Vinnies bag. White doona covers and farms just don’t mix. I ended up getting rid of 2 garbage bags of random bits of linen. I hit the kids toys, and sorted out all the baby gear we no longer need. With all this cleaning and sorting going on, Country Boy asked me if I was pregnant… rude so and so!
+ Toby has had a killer cold this week. So cranky and sad, and snotty. I have caved in every day and he has spent hours watching DVDs. His favourite is Mighty Machines. We only have one Mighty Machines DVD and I am so over it. Then that I discovered we could get youtube on our tv. Talk about a relief. I think I have put a link to an episode before, but if you have a little fellow obsessed with machinery like Toby, check these out. They are surprising watchable. (I’ve ordered some more DVDs for his birthday too!)
+ I took Meg to town with me when I was shopping on Thursday. Of the three kids she is the one I have spent the least amount of time with one on one. She is such a happy, easy going sparky kid. We had a lovely time (even if we were grocery shopping). Working full time, means I really have to focus to get one on one opportunities with all the kids, but it is always worth it.
+ We’ve had a sponsor child since Hannah was a baby. This morning this article came through my facebook feed. If you ever need convincing of the importance of sponsoring a child, here it is!
