Winter hit with style over the weekend. Wind and rain all day and night, and boy did it rain! Perfect tree planting weather, so we bundled up and headed out to plant a tree line along one of the paddock fences. While we were out the kids spotted a turtle enjoying the wet weather.
We finished up as the rain started to set in properly, so we spent the afternoon indoors snug and warm. The girls spent sometime on the computer while Country Boy cooked up the last lot of tomatoes from the garden, and I made a couple of pumpkin spice cakes. Later in the afternoon we watched a movie together.
Hannah has been wanting to make dinner for a while, So last night she made pork ribs with mash, carrots, and broccoli (with some assistance). I love it when everything on our plate comes from our own hard work!
Really, I cannot think of a more perfect way to spend a winters day.
