Look at what some friends dropped off for us to borrow:
Country Boy took one look at the vacola and remembered that there had been several around the farm before, so went off to hunt them down. Further investigation of one of the (many) shed revealed that we were already the proud owner of our own (inherited) vacola out fit, complete with heaps of jars. I just needed to get some lids and seals.
After giggling over the directions (incidentally ‘a vacola outfit is the perfect wedding gift!) I got down to business cooking up a big batch of pasta sauce and filling jars. I loaded up the vacola with the sealed jars and water, and left it on the stove.
Look what I finished with!
