+ I finished up at work yesterday. I will now be working only 15 minutes away. I was a bit sad to be leaving because, despite the drive, I enjoyed working there. Some of my students gave me cards and gifts which was lovely (and unexpected). It is always nice to think that kids enjoyed learning from you.
+There are tortoises every where on the roads at the moment. Fortunately they are usually easy to avoid (being so slow), but every now and then, there is one that has been hit. I always feel sad when I see a dead tortoise because they seem so helpless, plodding across the road.
+ Toby and Meg have worked out how to catch the chickens. They love to pick them up and give them a cuddle. Toby grabs their tails, and then tries to lift them up. Meg is very good at catching them and carries them around like a baby. They seem to be quite happy to be picked up. We are getting 6 eggs every day and are constantly looking for things to make with them.
+ This weekend we are heading back to the mountains to visit friends and family. We haven’t been back since August, so I cannot wait. We plan to leave straight after I get home, and hopefully get there not too late. My sister and I have planned a morning of Christmas craft after spending too much time on Pinterest, so there will be lots of sitting around and chatting, whilst the kids run around together.
