When we first moved here, the amount of physical activity that we did, combined with the beautiful weather, and long days meant that I was feeling healthy and well.
Then I started work which means I now spend at least 2 and a half hours in the car each day, so that is 2 and a half hours of sitting on my backside. On top of this by April, I was leaving before the sun came up, and getting home as it was getting dark, and it was freezing all day. It really is hardly surprising that I didn’t do very much activity.
But now the days are starting to get longer and a little warmer, so I am making the effort to try and go for a little bit of a walk when I get home – even if it is just to the gate and back. It is time to shift the winter build up.
I don’t need to be skinny, I just need to feel comfortable. Heaven knows that a bit of sun in the afternoon makes me feel more human after a day of
battling teenagers teaching, and this time of the year is the most beautiful on the farm – just look at my blog header to see how gorgeous it is!
I will let you know how it goes.
