+ I had to take the little two into town with me on Wednesday for Hannah’s piano lesson. Normally I can leave them with Country Boy or my in-laws. Clearly they don’t go to town nearly enough. Everything was so exciting. The trucks, the buildings, the fruit display in the supermarket. The best way to express your excitement is to talk really loudly so that everyone can hear you. There is no way to be inconspicuous with those two around!
+ Our yard has several gates leading to the paddock outside. All of them have a small concrete pad just outside them so that the dirt doesn’t become a big puddle. Unfortunately it seems that everyone of our animals think it is their god-given responsibility to relieve themselves on the concrete. Then my children think that it is their responsibility to tread in the mess. It drives me crazy! Not sure whether to have roast chicken or roast lamb first.
+ We are off to Canberra tomorrow for a children’s concert by Colin Buchanan – our kids favourite kids performer (and ours too) followed by a visit to Floriade. Going to Colin concerts (we call him by his first name) is an annual event, and we were glad that despite our move to the country, we could still go and see him. To say the kids are a little excited is an understatement!
+ Hannah has been knitting steadily since my mother taught her back in May. A few days back she finally finished her dolls blanket. We had to wait till she could take it up to my mother in law to cast off, because despite the fact that I teach Home Economics, I cannot cast on or off. I can knit a mean scarf, providing some one else cast on or off. Hannah wants to make a scarf now, so I might go up and get my kind mother in law to teach me how to cast on.
