How I Would Decorate My House For Christmas, If I Could…

It’s time for my weekly Pinterest link up, and I am giving up all pretense that I am interested in anything other than the great Christmas pins I have found this week. I cannot decorate my house on December 1 because my Christmas decorations are already down at the farm, and also because I am moving to the farm 10 days later.

So here I am sharing how I would decorate my house if I had the time, money, and house to do so!

I love cranberry wreathes. I have a huge green wreath already, but I would love a cranberry wreath to go with it!

I made some Christmas bunting last year. It looked fantastic draped around the back yard. This year I am hoping to drape them around the veranda when we have Christmas lunch.

I have already written about how we don’t believe in Santa in our house. We celebrate Christmas as the Jesus’ birthday. We have several nativity scenes which we set up around the house to remind us of Jesus’s birth. The girls always love to rearrange the figurines, usually to line them all up.

We have several beautiful stockings, but our current house has no fireplace to hang them by. When we move to our farm house, I want to hang them along our mantle piece like this – though in December I doubt we will be lighting a fire.

I love this simple idea to use glass vases filled with baubles – they would make beautiful table centers.

I love the idea of using doilies as snowflakes. I was given quite a few by The Country Boy’s grandmother when we got married. To be honest I don’t think I have ever used them (I’m not really a doily girl), but it would like to be nice to use them.

You can find these and many other pins on my pinterest board. You can follow me on Pinterest, or Facebook on my side bar.
I’m linking up with 5 minutes just for me, for Singing and Pinning and Tina Gray{dot}me for Ooh! That’s Pinteresting!
