Over the weekend, Country Boy went out to finish some fencing he had been doing around the farm. It was windy up on the hill tops, so Meg and Toby took along their kites to play with. Of course the wind was too strong and it blew their kites everywhere. But the air was crisp, cold and clean, so it was lovely to be outside for an hour after so many days of rain.
When the kids got cold, and sick of playing, we left CB to his fencing, and walked back down to the house. Meg soon ran ahead, eager to get in front of the warm fire. Toby and I walked together and chatting away, when he said “we are the luckiest people. We live in the beautifulest place in the world ever”. I love that he feels such a connection to and appreciation of our farm, and I have to agree with him.
